RJ Griffith Helps Local Students Head Back to School

RJ Griffith and Positive Vibes Only were proud to once again partner with McConathy Public Library and the Village of Sauk Village for the annual Back to School Bash, providing local students with backpacks, school supplies, encouragement, and plenty of positive vibes as they prepared for a new school year.

Originally scheduled for August 1, this year's event faced an unexpected challenge when a devastating tornado and widespread power outages impacted communities throughout the area. With the safety of families, volunteers, and everyone involved as the priority, the Back to School Bash was rescheduled for August 7 at McConathy Public Library.

Despite the circumstances, RJ and Positive Vibes Only remained committed to making sure local children received the support and supplies they needed.

With the help of McConathy Public Library, the Village of Sauk Village, volunteers, donors, and community partners, families were able to come together following a difficult week and celebrate the start of a new school year. Backpacks and school supplies were distributed to students, but just as importantly, the event provided an opportunity to bring some encouragement, smiles, and positivity back to the community.

For RJ, events like the Back to School Bash are an important extension of his work beyond music. Through Positive Vibes Only, he continues to use his platform to bring people together, support young people, and make a difference in the communities around him.

This year's event was especially meaningful because of the resilience shown by everyone involved. What began as an unexpected setback became another example of what can happen when a community comes together to support one another.
