RJ Griffith Brings Joy and School Supplies to Students at Annual Back to School Bash
Chicago singer-songwriter, actor, and youth advocate RJ Griffith and his nonprofit organization Positive Vibes Only partnered with the McConathy Public Library District to deliver a day full of encouragement, school spirit, and community support at the Annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 2.
Hundreds of families gathered at the library, where Positive Vibes Only distributed free backpacks and school supplies to help local students kick off the year ready to succeed. The first 100 children in attendance received new school gear, ensuring they started the academic year equipped and confident.
The event featured games, prizes, music, food, and fun activities for all ages. But the highlight was the smiles on students’ faces as they received supplies and encouragement from volunteers and Positive Vibes Only’s team.
“The school year is here and the vibes are high,” said Griffith. “Seeing the joy and excitement on these kids’ faces was everything. Our goal is simple — to remind students that they can shine bright, stay focused, and carry positive energy all year long. Every child deserves protection, peace, and the chance to grow up and grow old.”
The Back to School Bash also showcased the strength of community collaboration, with volunteers and library staff joining forces with Positive Vibes Only to make the event possible.
